Biography

Tony Campbell has been a wildlife enthusiast since childhood.  His love for the outdoors has helped to trigger his passion for not only painting, but taxidermy.  Tony grew up in a small town in Southeast Missouri.  Tony began painting in high school where he got some encouragement from his high school art teacher.  After that, he received no formal training in art.  Tony is a self taught artist.

In the early years of his painting, Tony entered several local art contests.  Here he won Best of Show and sold many of his original works.  After taking a break from painting due to his family and a full-time job, Tony is back to painting wildlife and ready to claim his place as one of the premier wildlife artists.

Tony currently has three prints available for purchase.  They are "Coby Creek Woodies", "November Battle", and "Cozart Point Gobblers".  In these two paintings as well as many others, you can see the love that Tony has for nature.  Every picture painted is from memory of an experience Tony had while hunting and fishing in Southeast Missouri or Northeast Arkansas.  If you were to talk to Tony, he would be sure to let you know the stories behind each of his paintings.  Tony's most notable trait is the amount of detail that he puts into each and every one of his paintings.

Tony has also been a licensed taxidermist for several years.  Most hunters and anglers in Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas know of his talent for preserving trophy game animals, fish, and waterfowl.

Tony Campbell's style and methods with his painting and taxidermy are in their own right, works of art.  His hands-on work with wildlife, coupled with his experiences in the wild, has fueled his drive to create paintings that come to life in a realistic setting.
